Grand closing of the 14th Banderas Bay International Marlin and Tuna Fishing TournamentIn the facilities of the Marina of Paradise Village in Nuevo Nayarit, the closing of the tournament was held where we had a tight closing in the category of dorado since the difference in weight was very little where the first place presented a catch of 18,200 kg of the Marshell team proclaiming itself champion of the category taking a prize of $50 thousand pesos The 2nd and 3rd place was disputed between the Blue Magenta team and the Cheos team, which presented two captures weighing 17,400 kg, but the 2nd and 3rd place were defined by the difference in size: one with 74 cm presented by the Blue Magenta team and the other 72 cm from the Cheos team. In the Catch and Release category, the Mexican team won first place with a total of two released species that were enough to take first place in this category. 
The Marshell team took the afternoon of the tournament by also being crowned in the Sailfish category with a catch of 32,600 kg carrying a prize of $50 thousand pesos, in the 2nd position was the Boston Favier team with a specimen of 27,600 kg and the 3rd place the Travolta team with a weight of 26,000 kg. The Tuna category was deserted since no catch was recorded during this tournament. We moved on to the main category of the Marlin tournament, where it was until the second day that the Afishinado team was proclaimed Champion with a catch of 159,000 kg, winning a prize of $200,000 pesos. Second place went to the Draggin Lures team with a specimen of 146,400 kg, taking a prize of 100 thousand pesos and the third place went to the Los Chulos 145,200 kg team.
